This article explains the Management Settings permission – the one PortalWX permission that is set per user only and is not offered on a company's Permissions tab.
What it unlocks
Management Settings is the strongest permission a company administrator can hold. It opens:
- The About menu – My building, Local services, Gallery, Contacts and Documents – for administrators of the property-manager company.
- General settings of the workplace.
- Visitor agreements in the Guestbook – the documents guests accept when they check in (property-manager company).
- Signing the data processing agreement (DPA) under Agreements. A company must sign the DPA before its administrators can use the People module, so the first administrator of a new company usually needs Management Settings for that step.
Where to set it
People ▸ open the user ▸ Permissions tab ▸ Edit permissions ▸ Management settings. It has no sub-permissions and it does not appear on the company's Permissions page – it is granted person by person.
Good to know
- As with every permission, you can only grant Management Settings if you hold it yourself.
- It does not include People, Company or any other module. Give the person the module permissions they need in addition.
